Drake SHIR Symposium 2021 POSTPONED

UPDATE FROM THE SYMPOSIUM ORGANISERS (04/12/2021):

We have been closely monitoring the COVID situation, particularly the concern around the new Omicron variant. Unfortunately, we have decided that the only sensible option is to postpone the Drake Sports Head Impact Research Symposium 2021.

Having looked at the risks, the growing concern around Omicron, and taking into account feedback from registered delegates, The Drake Foundation, FA, RFU, ECB, BHA and Wembley Stadium have come together today and made the difficult decision that this is the best thing to do given the circumstances, so the Symposium will not be going ahead on Tuesday 7th December.

We plan to rearrange the meeting for the coming months, and will circulate further information to attendees in due course when the road ahead looks clearer.

We apologise for the inconvenience of the decision coming at this stage in the run up to the event, though hope everyone will appreciate that this is a rapidly evolving situation and that guests’ safety is paramount.
